Does anyone know where I can have an aluminum stem painted?

I believe I saw something about painting on the old board. I'm aware that body shops or motor cycle shops can do the work, as well as frame outfits out of town.

Any place around Nashville, specifically? Thanks.

You can always do it yourself I have a bike that I did it to back in 2000 and that paint is still going strong.

Scrub it good with acetone and scotchbrite and hit it with a good can of spray paint. As long as you clean it well most spray paint will stick. Start with a very light coat first (basically a mist) let it dry then hit again.

I've been considering just doing it myself today. I appreciate the pointers, SH.

A lot of people would just get another stem. I have a Klein with non-standard stem. I wanted to change my riding position a tad and found a 120mm to replace a 135mm MC3. Added a bar with rise, and I got a noticeable position change.

Problem is, the 120 is a nice-looking metallic-sky blue, and it really needs to be something else. I can no longer convince myself that it looks okay with the red/orange/white frame.

I will look into doing it myself. Thanks.
