Out riding street(urban) today and botched my landing a little when hopping up on this sidewalk. No wrecks but my flats left me with yet another reminder that pedal pins are very sharp
The result of an awkward landing:

I feel your post man! Last week at HC I did the same thing. I can't remember the last time that had happened to me. The pins went DEEP into my leg and I think my shin bone was bruised. I still have bandaids on to keep my blood from getting on things. I still LOVE my flats!

I've got several scars on the shins but this one got me just below my calf muscle on the back of my leg.
I didn't really get hit hard or anything and actually I didn't think it was as bad as it turned out. Its just that those pins are really, really sharp around the edges :ouch:

When the girls asked what happened to your leg, tell 'em, "A mountain lion got ya." They'll believe you.

Yeah, baby he(mountain lion) almost got me then I thought, what would Chuck do?(norris)
I then gave him a roundhouse kick to the head and made kitty litter out of his brain:training1:

The pedal pins on my Hardrock are so worn down and rounded off, this would never happen to me. And I thought all those times I accidentally banked a corner to the side with the pedal further down only hurt the bike. Turn out it helps my legs too, cause I do that a lot.

I feel your pain man. The best is when you hit your pedals on stuff over and over again, so they are filed into sharp little points, then, (as you obviously did), miss a pedal and have them whip around at full speed, just to sink into your leg. That'll put hair on your chest!
