New to this board but I have been riding for years. Took a couple of years off after a really bad broken ankle I suffered riding. Now I'm back riding. Hope to get a couple of new riding partners my roommate who I always have rode with is moving to Boston. I like riding around here but after a trip to Colorado I have fallen in love with "lift riding" better known as freeride/downhill.

:welcome: to the board!
It's a little skechy right now on the trails, but watch the upcoming events forum for rides being posted.

Welcome to the board. I too have been sidelined in the past with ankle injuries. I'm actually looking to get some of the high top Specialized (http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCEqProduct.jsp?a=b&minisite=10029&spid=26132&language=US) shoes for a little extra protection. Take it easy.

Welcome to the board....you should be able to find many here who share your new love of "freeriding" and would want to show you some good places to start doing it. Try Hamilton Creek when it dries out.:welcome:

JTodd, I saw that you live in BG, I also live close to there. I mostly ride in nashville however on the weekends, sometimes Sal Hollow. I'm not much of a freerider but if you want to ride some time let me know. You might try the Pennyrile state forest trails just north of Hopkinsville, they have some stunts, jumps, and ladder stuff built. bikesandmoore.com info on them, they are the best shop in Hoptown. I might make a trip over to the LBL in a week or two if you'd be interested. That is if it ever dries out.

I just checked out the bikes and moore site and saw some pictures of the Pennyrile trail and the Barnyard. Hmmmm. I do believe I am going to have to go visit those places.
Holstien, you, Tim, Reed and David should take a look at them.

SORBA Chattanooa's webpage also has info on the pennyrile trails if you click on Kentucky it is in the trail guide section. I am also new to the board, sorry to hijack the post. I have lurked for awhile. I am down in Nashville a lot of weekends to visit the girlfriend so I ride a lot of the local trials. If you spot a blonde guy on a red Kona Dawg stop me and say hello.

If we get some white stuff in the next few weeks and the ground is hard, we will have a white ride...

The Cookeville crew goes to Fall Creek Falls when is snows and have seen some cool pics.
