I just wanted to take a moment to post up a quick thanks to the guy who keeps up the trail at AEDC. I am new to MTB and have only rode Hammy so AEDC was a breath of fresh air and I really enjoyed the ride. Keep up the good work....:thumb:

It's a nice roll. Hit it 5x now since Christmas eve. Was in great shape today. Bob and Dennis and another guy were working on some new stuff.

Them fellows do GRAND work!:goteam:

I hit it up on Saturday and I was impressed. Its a very buff trail, sort of wished I had my rigid fork back on. Sort of like Lock 4, but the ups and downs are longer and more gradual, not so quick. For racers a good place to train, because it seems you can always keep a good spin so HR can be sustained if you push. It is probably going to be my new trail of choice when conditions are bad everywhere else. :thumb:

Never been there riding, but hunted there years ago. Would love to go for a ride down there but with my work schedule I don't seem to be able to make the trips. Post up on the next ride and I will split the gas with you if I can make it.

Who drives the silver Dodge Cummins? I've seen it two or three times down there. I'm usually in a Red Dodge Cummins, but wasn't Sunday.

We had a two vans and six riders...

I was down at Blankets Creek Trails down in Ga a couple of months ago. Got there about 8am and the parking lot was PACKED. Wall to wall vehicles and riders. Spent all morning out on the trails and there were just riders everywhere.

I'm really spoiled around here. Spend most of my training time (running, biking and paddling) out at AEDC, and I LOVE that the place is pretty quiet most of the time.

AEDC is a great place to train. The trails handle rain really well. It's quiet and (for me) close to home.

Bob and Denny have done a great job of trail building in this area (not just AEDC, but also Tims Ford and up on the mountain) over the past few years. I really appreciate all of their efforts.

BTW - I drive a dark blue Chevy Silverado. :cyclist:

I got there around 8:30 am and left around 12 or so. I was in a white Nissan Titan. I was in a hurry to get back to town but hope to have more time to meet some of the people off the board next time. Probably gonna head back up there Friday morning.

Hey mike, rode AEDC today and freakin' loved it. I didn't have time to ride the whole thing due to my schedule, but can't wait to get out there again. Thanks for the info and directions.

You that was me. We were meditating when you passed :). Funny enough while standing in that spot I had a spoke break while sitting still.

Sorry about the spoke, sitting still, that is strange, must of been meditating too hard.
Sorry I didn't talk to you guys at the trail head, I usually talk to just about every body, if I know them or not, I was off in my own little world that morning I guess.
Hope to see you again on the trail, I'll be a little more sociable next time. :thumb:

On the social side--if I catch you on a flats/junctions or in the parking lot, I'll surely talk. Met three guys about a mile in Sunday and I was leading two more up a steep--no time to talk when I'm cranking it...and I was oh, so thirsty for something a little tastier than in the water bottles. Thanks for the yield.

Geared it down a notch, now maybe I won't have to attack the steeps quite so hard.:more_cowbell:
