As many of you already know, ShinerBabe and I are getting married in April (back just in time for DS&G).

What do you guys think of this Wedding Cake Topper for the Groom's Cake?

That's awesome! Where ever did you find it?

Sonny,

For your cake, you need one with the bike front end down in the cake and you face down in the cake in front of the bike.

Everybodys a comedian. Hey, Reed I think we need a middle finger smiley. :yield:

Haha.. I have one saved on my HD. I can PM it to you if you'd like! It's a dual bird smiley.

I wish he would go for a smiley like that but unfortunately, I don't think he will.

No, I think that would be pushing proper etiquette. It is nice that he has insisted on universally friendly environment.

Besides, if I wanna offer you the single finger salute I have enough respect for you to do it in person.

BTW... Shiner, did I mention that I think the cake topper is awesome?

Actually, Amy found that online. She's looking for ideas for the groom's cake. She'd been thinking of a mountain bike shaped cake and just ran across that. If we could get Sonny to sit still for a mold cast of one of his ENDOs, that would work for me too!

Last night we had talked about a mountain shaped groom's cake with a mountainbike guy coming down it.

But I died, when she found that topper! It's funny because it's true. At least from what I hear on here! Amy's been great. She actually let Sofa King and I ride a couple of hours before I popped the question.

Someday, I'll post the story of the "Engagement Helmet."

I forwarded the link to this thread to my girlfriend (coincidentally her name is Amy too) and here is how she responded...

"I might have to agree with RMBMike's comment - and the question will be... are you face down in the snow because you fell on your own accord? or because I pushed you off your bike in pre-marital desperation?"

Can you feel the love? :twitcy:

My fiancee and I are using something similar to that for our wedding cake topper. It's a guy riding a bike holding his bride to be. It's a little more "romantic" and less humorous than yours.

We aren't having a grooms cake. We're having a chocolate fondue fountain instead....oh yea!!!!! (the little voice in my head is saying...."$240 worth of Puddin'!)

I need to find a picture of the topper we got. It was mailed from France. it's small but made out of lead or something cus it's HEAVY!

I know you didn't just quote The State. NICCCEEEE!

You could have bought $100 worth o' puddin', and that would have been....a lot of puddin'. But you decided to go all the way, with 200 and 40 dollars worth o puddin' Awwww yeahhhhh!

Tumbler, I'm going to have to vote that you fell down in the snow on your own accord.
If it's any consellation, I went over the handle bars last Friday in my driveway trying front wheel hops. I rotated too far on the way up and couldn't get back down. The only way to go was over the bars.

Like the quote? It's my new M.O. anyway - She's letting you now! But wait until she's Mrs. Shiner! They turn on you! Seriously, my wife is very kind about letting me ride. Considering how much responsibility I have with having 4 kids, I think I get to ride alot! Having a trail in my back hard doesn't hurt either!

Very exciting for you Shiner.

Yeah, everyone knows I don't need any help to go over the handle bars. If I did it would probably be lethal.

Don't worry. I'll be catching up real soon. There will be much practicing of front wheel hops and endos in my future which I'm sure will involve some tumbling of my own. If I have to take dive after dive to scratch the surface of Ryan Leech's talent, I will.

Love the cake topper - wife says it's "cute" :thumb:

Wedding recommendation - keep it cheap - it's over in 15 minutes. The only thing I remember is starting to cry when the back door opened :cry2:

Just think how long a full carbon bike w/ XTR would last :twitcy:

Yeah... a little worried about this. Her dad is pretty weepy and it was reported that he teared up when she was in the other room trying on her dress. He got it together before she came out though. My brother started to break down at his wedding when his bride teared up, but recovered pretty well. I hope I can hold it together when she comes out. Those darn "allergies" :)

At my wedding my brother who is a bit portlier than I was standing beside me, when I saw something fly by the front of my head and my brother says “S…” (self moderated) a few minutes later I see another one and look over, his shirt was so tight he was firing buttons down the isle, I actually started to laugh, ----priest did not think anything was funny..

You will do great and they are correct literally months of prep for at most 15 minutes.. Could have saved some cash on this ..

You should try front wheel hops on a rock shox sid...quite funny to do nothing but watch your fork frantically go "squishsquishsquishsquish":frusty:

Shiner, As far as weeping at the wedding, just think about Paddlechris's brother firing off buttons when the door opens...on second thought better not. You may get in trouble for chuckling during the ceremony:eek:

Hey Chris - Glad no one lost an eye  Man - that's a funny story - anyone catch it on Video?

man - I'm still laughing

Steve:twitcy:

By the way - Not only was I crying, my brother was the preacher and he sliped up a bit and almost lost it. I totally soake Donna's hankey - I don't think she shed a tear - it kind of freaked her. It was quite a sad afair - i had lost my voice the day before and was crying - TOTALLY lost it - the brides maids loved it!!!

No one got it on video but it really lightned the mood the people that flaked him where chuckling the entire time.

It was kinda nice to level it out..

As long as he wasn't wearing button fly pants....
