So a little while back I posted this HOW TO DROP THREAD (http://nationalmountainbike.com/board/showthread.php?t=479&highlight=How+to+drop)

Well yesterday I decided to go for a ride, after I got on my MOB and blew out my fork seals, then pulled down the Moment to have two flats, well after about 1.5 hours of work getting my seals back on and patching my tubes (one had 5 thorns in it Thanks Tim) I went over to my "practice spot" to well just practice bunny hopping and drops.

So I took Decline with me and forced myself to try the different drop types, man you can really tell a BIG difference between the styles. I typically always did the Huck style, but I was surprised at how much smoother the Racer style was, I found I could go much slower and be in total control. Very cool

So I also did all of these styles on my hard tail to see how much different it was well, the racer style was more comfortable on the hard tail than the Moment, I was so surprised..

Anyway the drops are a 2.5 foot one for practice and one about 4 feet..

So moral to the story check out the vid and try the styles you will be surprised..

Sweet! Speaking of the different drop styles, Chris Holland and I have ridden together a couple times where we spent a lot of time just trying to figure and try the different drops. Fun stuff.

We even found one place while on an urban ride - about a 3 foot to flat drop, where we video'd ourselves to see if we could get the racer drop down. I'd say we both came to the realization that the 'correct' drop and the 'huck' drop were what happens most often. And the 'racer' drop feels great when you get it right, but it's not as easy as it would seem - takes some 'thinking' to get it right!!

Good stuff!! Thanks P-Chris for the vid!
