Why did he sell all those bikes?

    Hello all,

Thought I would answer some of your questions as to why in the world did I sell all those bikes this winter and spring? I know most of you all thought I had given up riding bikes...

Truth is...I got an opportunity to purchase a 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon Camper Van from a buddy. It had been sitting for 3 years or so with a blown motor in it and I purchased it for a small amount, with the intent to rebuild the motor, and get it back into some kind of shape for camping with my family and hopefully some bike trips.

It is still a work in progress, as it is actually getting some new canvas installed as I type this, but it has come a long way since I started late last fall.

I don't have any great pics yet but thought I would share a few from a camping trip with my family two weeks ago....thanks for looking and hope to see you all soon!

P.S. We also plan to use this during our weekends spent traveling with the girls playing club soccer.........

That looks awesome! Like the new paint job and how you've mounted the bikes! Can't wait to see it! Now get back on the trails!

You are a Renaissance man. Does that have a GPS? Lord knows if you get tipsy at the next Sorba meeting and I have to drive you home in that I will definitely get lost.

I have a bud that revamped a 60-something bus and drove it to California and back. Had tourists all along the way asking to take pics with it! Enjoy!

Was that the Moots hangin' on the back?

You know it's been amazing actually. Here in Brentwood with most of these people driving brand new, ultra expensive vehicles I have been stopped ever time I drive it around here with people wanting to talk about it....LOL Kinda Cool

No..not the Moots, it was actually the Rig on the back that Reed just bought. It made one trip to the campgound with me. It is also my wifes Independent Fabrication 11.5" frame bike with it.

I love it Kelly. All 98 horse power. Can't wait to see it and take a ride.

Ya know want would be cool. A couple of vintage bikes on the rack. A rode trip with the boys just like old times. Remember the days before wife, kids and Uzz?

Did you hear the one about the guy on his death bed that said "I wish I would have worked more and rode my bike less". Said NO ONE EVER. -Jeff Scott
