Big thanks to Wood and Wave

This shop puts on a great race. Endurence races are cool but not so family friendly. Me and the wife and kids camped at Hillman Ferry close to the White lightning race course . The weather was not great but my kids were still excited about racing.

Me, my 11 and 7 year old boys all got to race and had a great time.
They were challenged by there course as much as I was mine.

This was a weekend they won't soon forget.
    It's not that bad

With Steve Wilson at his new "day job", the WNW gang had a ton of stuff to do. They pulled it off well. Awards were a little confused in the light rain (luckily the only rain of the day).

Trail was in great shape - the rain made it perfect except for a few short sections.

    THANKS GUYS!!!

BIG Congrats!!! To the entire Simms family.

They all placed on the podium. :second::third:

Jim, you are an animal. Apparently, those boys are following in your footsteps.

We were very fortunate w/ the weather. Trail was in really good condition. Big Kudos to the race committee and all the volunteers. Had a large time. There were some great races on the course too!

The course was in good shape--wouldn't believed it if I hadn't seen it! Was even dusty up top where the wind was violently blowing it dry! Great race and great people! Anybody got any pics to share? I saw a guy in the woods with a spiffy camera. I didn't see him at first and was doing goofy girl jumps on some downhill water bars (thinking no one was around) and I was startled by him crouching near the trail, lol!

Here's some. Probably Carson's Mom took these, he's in lots of pics.

Was told Greg Park was the guy in the woods taking pictures. I don't know him, but from where he was on the trail, I bet he got some good pics!

Yeah, Greg said he left copies of the pics at the Wave. Must have been on film?? Although, I forgot to check'em out while at the shop yesterday.
