    Ride for Reading warehouse damaged??

Anybody know if this is true?? I heard somebody at Bike Pedlar mentioning that the new warehouse that was renovated has been flooded.

I believe that's true. And 10,000 books lost.

West Nashville, on Alabama Ave, right under I 40. I don't know if anyone has made it down there yet. The pictures and videos I've seen of the neighborhood don't look promising.

    We'll keep everyone posted.

I work about 2 blocks away from the building and we got 2.5ft inside. The warehouse is on higher ground though.. so there is at least some hope.

...and Chuck @ Italian Market next door said they didn't have many problems there. I'm down for helping clean up if it's needed. I'll be a couple blocks away everyday until 5.. can swing by after.

We initially got news that the building was under water, but I talked to Chuck from the Italian Market and it sounds like every thing turned out great for rfr!

That's awesome! Until you're able to check it out for sure we are keeping the full court press on for book collections over here. Hopefully you're not going to need them though!

I'll take a peek in the windows tomorrow on my way to work and let you guys know how it is. I drove by Sunday night and the water wasn't high outside there or anything. Oh! and if you're coming in on 40 westbound planning to take that exit by the school, go ahead and turn left on 51st and make the block... Morrow Rd got washed out pretty badly... here's pictures:

Edit: Yes those picture are from today.. Yes that happened on Sunday..

Went by today at about 6:00pm. Didn't see any signs of damage outside... peeked through the windows.. doesn't look like a thing has moved.. didn't appear to even be water on the floor. (of course that's through the front windows. some may have gotten through the back garage door thing, but I doubt it.
