    Uzzi,

There is a small tree blown over about two miles back from the end of the race loop. Not real big, but it was caught in other trees and I couldnt pull it out....
A good ride, good friends and some great beer. Its why we ride....

    Daniel-

Thanks for noticing! I do get a bit obsessive when i do these events and sometimes lay in bed thinking "Isi there is anything I am forgetting? I'm also amazed at how much the MTB community pulls together to make things like this a success! Thanks for volunteering! We have plenty that will need to be done.

Trees down - yes, there are trees down that will need some love. I will need a chain saw crew to get these knocked out. I am taking off Friday and perhaps can get some help. I will be at the trail at 10:00 to finish trimming, marking, etc.

I don't have a compressor either, but we won't be doing crazy stuff, just building some simple balance beams, a simple teeter, etc.

So Friday there is some trimming and skillz course building. Skillz course building will happen starting at 5 and is a pretty fluid process. People just come and go as they can and do as much or as little as they wish. Make sure you have a helmet if you wish to be a "beta" tester of anything we build. 2 years ago some guys came out and we had to shut them down because they had no helmets. I hated doing that, but for insurance we must.

I do have a small wooden jump that is loads of fun and hope to have something to ride off of, not to crazy big, 2 feet maybe. We have to remember our audience. If 20 freeriders wish to come with materials and the ability to do something bigger, I'm all about it! Sans that happening, we'll go with something more moderate that everyone can try! Even kids. (Of all ages)

    Uzzi.

Moderate stuff is fine by me, means I probably won't get hurt as bad. So are you heading out at 5 on friday?? I'm going to do my best to be there with hammer and nails, I have a trimmer I can bring, don't think I can borrow the chainsaw though. Anything else that might be useful??

Yes, bring the trimmer. I will be at Lakeside at 10:00am and when that is done, at Ned Shelton getting that ready.

If you are gonna try to be out about 10am, I'll try to meet you there. Just post if anything changes and I'll check board in the morning before I head out.

    Wood Update - Lumbar Needed!

Okay - so our wood provider will only be able to do pallets. So, we will have to rethink Friday night.

Is there anyone who can donate some wood? When I say wood, I mean 2X8s, 2X6s and 2X4s?If we had 4 2X8s, 4 2x6s and 4 2x4s (10 feet longer or more) we could do what I envisioned, and make a few little kid elements. If we had a few people that could by a couple of pieces of wood, we could make it happen. Just a thought...let me know if anyone has any pieces like this laying around. If we don't get any donors, we'll cancel the Friday night build fest.

    Post up!

I might be able to get my hands on a few short pieces of 2x4 some about 4 ft and some maybe 1.5 - 2 would that stuff be useful?

I got four 2x4's they're 7.5 feet long. I'll bring those and I'll be there as soon after 5:00 as possible.

I will bring one. What will you be using it for? Do you need a certain type of allen bit? It is 3/8" drive. I will be there about 8:30.

I wanted to thank Tim for all of his hard work on getting the FTF and the race up and running smoothly. I had to bail on the race, sick child, I wish I could have been there to support everyone. I know the course was in great shape.

I wanted to thank all of you middle Tennesseers for hosting the race and the crew from Memphis. Great job at a fast, fun race.

But really, did you guys know someone put rocks all over your trails? You should do something about that. Like maybe mail them west -- we could use a few.

    Srsly, many thanks!
