    Tennessee Mountain Bike Trails Map

A map of the mountain bike trails in Tennessee within a few hours drive from Nashville.

Each placemark is at the exact geographical location of the trail-head.

Mammoth Cave needs to be added

If anybody knows the exact trail head and a short description, maybe we could get that on this map.

This is great for newbies to the sport. Thanks.

Mammoth Cave National Park Trail Added

Good idea, kindacreeky, I've added the Sal Hollow Trail at Mammoth Cave National Park to the map.

Please let me know if there are any others that should be included.

Any chance of denoting the posted mile markers on the Defeated Creek trail? It'd make maintenance locations easier to find and short-cut to. I'd settle for mi. marker 5!

I have heard about Enterprise South in Chattanooga but unable to find any further information in it online. Supposedly off the Volkswagen exit. Almost seems to be a word of mouth. Any leads, sounds cool from what I have heard.

I'd like to get Enterprise South on the map. Does anyone have the exact GPS coordinates of the trail head? I can't really see the parking lot on the Google Maps satellite view.

    Thanks!

I don't have the coordinates, but here is the entrance to the park.

There are multiple parking areas throughout the park.

This one can be removed. The NPS has given this awesome trail back to the horse riders. There are currently no single track trails to ride in MCNP. The trail they promissed us to have built hasn't made it past their paperwork. It's been laidout (at least on paper - I think also on the ground. Maybe is a year or so??? This was one of the best rides around.

Sorry to hear that trail is closed down. I've removed it from the map.

Also, I updated the trail map for Montgomery Bell to the latest version that was published in Feb. 2010. (Thanks Gary!)

This link does not work. It's not a problem with my PC:

    http://sorbamidtn.org/trails/Lock4-8...ap-dec2012.pdf

When I click the link, it says "The webpage cannot be not found".

    Try this
    http://sorbamidtn.org/trail-guide/

    Edit: Crap, your right.
When You click on the L4 map, it comes up with an error message.
I know they've been working on the site, but thought it was fixed.

Mountain Biking is 80% mental, 40% physical, and 20% skills... and that may add up to more than 100%, but I don't know.. I hit my head on a tree this weekend.

Guys, what am I doing wrong? Everyone post these google map links that are supposed to show a location or a map. But whenever I click on one it just takes me to google maps with no extra info... just like if I had gone straight to google maps.

    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks!

I'm not sure. I just clicked the link in your post on my phone. It loaded up the mobile Google maps website and showed me the trail. See screenshot.

Thanks, that is a nice map that shows the trail really well.

I just tried it on my Macbook Pro and it didn't work for me either. One idea is that I've upraded to the "new google maps". I wonder if it will work if I revert back. I tried in Chrome and Firefox but both loaded the new Google Maps and didn't show the yellow line.

See my post below... you need to revert back to the old Google Maps.

Yep that's it. If you revert back to the old Google Maps, it should work for you. I just got it to work in Chrome on a Macbook Pro.

Are you going to be able to squeeze a PW marker in there?

I added AustinB as a collaborator on the map so that he can add a PW marker and clean up some of the descriptions/trail maps. Let me know if I need to jump in and help out.

    Thanks for volunteering Austin!

Oh, and by the way, I didn't even know PW had a trail open to mountain biking. I have been there a few times for trail running.

Really looking forward to checking it out!

Just updated the map to move the Percy Warner main trail head. Updated descriptions for Cane Ridge and Percy Warner. Also added newest beginner trail Bells Bend. More to come soon, woohoo!
