Just found this article about foot numbness and thought I'd share it.

Harder to do on a mountain bike, but one thing that always helps me on the road is switching to a smaller gear, increasing my cadence, and making sure to pull up with my legs after reaching the bottom of the pedal stroke. That will help take some of the pressure off the nerves in your foot.

I wear arch supports, Powersteps, in all my shoes. In my bike shoes, I also add a piece of moleskin to the underside, at the ball of my foot. I never have had any issues with this set-up, even on very long rides.

Wiggle your toes while riding. I have never had numbness, but my feet get kind of tired sometimes.

My toes burn....really burn, but never blister. (I do wear Swiftwicks). And its never the same toe(s). And on any given Sunday it will be a diffrent foot. Just had to share that. Feet are weird.
