$8000.00 Floyd Landis Bike Bought at Yard Sale For $5.00

A bike that belonged to Floyd Landis was bought at a yard sale in Kentucky for 5 bucks.
You now can buy it for $6000.00 ... but the pedals are broken.

    Its probably partly true:

Found by interstate = Landis's stupid a$$ left it unlocked on his bike rack when stopping at a rest stop, so I helped myself.

Sold for $5 = I had no idea how much its worth so I'll just sell it at a yard sale for $5 and hope no one notices that its stolen.

The bike is now priced @ $6000 = I'm going to try and capitalize on my dumb luck by selling a 3 year old bike for $5500 more than its worth because it used to belong to a self dilluted, doped up, backstabbing idiot.

It may vary slightly from that, but thats what I got out of the story.

If they end up parting out the bike, I call dibs on the front fork.

I don't understand why the fact that it was Floyd Landis' bike makes it so valuable!!! The dude is (was) a pro cyclist which means he has been through hundreds of bikes that are probably now scattered all over the country from him selling them and giving them away, but you don't see people everywhere selling them for high amounts just because he rode them in one or two races!!!! Not too mention he was STRIPPED of his Tour De France title for CHEATING!!!!
