Need help with locations to plan MTB trip in november!!

First off guys me & 6 of my friends take a couple of trips a year for about a week or so & we stay in a cheap hotel split the cost & all we do is ride all day every day. We named it Ridefest. This is our 2nd ridefest in 2010. And when I say ride all day everyday I mean 7am-7pm on the trails.

So far what we have planned is a really cheap hotel on Aska road. Some of you may know the flat creek loop (amazing downhill singletrack) Stanley gap, & of course the pinhotis are all connected & on that very road. We will be here for 2-3 days most likely 2.

Next a 'little bit of a drive' to of course the tsali trails, be there for 1-2 days in the cheapest hotel possible

Now this is where we have a hard time deciding, we want 1-2 more locations that have alot of amazing riding within atmost 6 hours driving range from tsali. I haven't really been around alot I've ridden the trails I listed above & Chicopee woods & that's all were familiar with.

Thanks for any input guys I appreciate it & let me tell you, the whole trip will only cost us 120 each total & that's our atmost estimate. From past experience it will only run us about 85-95 for a 7-8 day amazing ridefest!

You've got tons of options, there's a place called the Jackrabbit trails not too far from Tsali, can't remember the town name, but it's in NC, pretty fun, not quite Tsali or those N. GA trails but it might not be far out of the way on your way to Tsali. Look it up on the web, there was an article in a mag (dirt rag, i think) about the place last year.

When you leave Tsali go to Dupont State Forest in Brevard NC, bout an hour Southeast of Asheville...the place is EPIC!! Acutally, I think it's on the IMBA Epic list. Then from there go north toward Asheville, there's Bent Creek (Lake Powhatan Rec Area) and Pisgah National Forest where you can you take your pick of trails, I once heard that there 1,000 miles of trails in Pisgah open to bikes...DO NOT SKIP the Asheville area trails, this will be the best trails of your trip.

There's also Chillhowee Mtn, Tanasi, and Bear Creek (i think that's the name, never been there) and maybe one other trail on the Ocoee River in TN that's not too far from where you will be in N. GA.

Have fun, wish I had a week to do a trip like that.!

Syndicate is on point. If you Stanley and flat creek (two of my personal favs), you need to head to black mountain, nc. Kitsuma is awesome and heartbreak is to die for. Lots of pain, but lots of reward. Plus you are close to bent creek, dupont, fish hatchery, and mills river.

Personally, I would skip tsali and spend more time closer to asheville.

    I love me some heartbreak!!!!!

Day 1) On the drive down. Stop and ride Raccoon Mtn. Or do FSF/Sewanee

Day 2) I would get a cheap Motel in Dalton, GA near the intersate. And do an out and back on Snake Creek Gap. That shoud take all day.

Day 3)Mulberry Gap ride. Ride the other Pinhotis with all the connectors.

Or just go to Ashville and ride Pisagh for two or three days as others have metioned already.
Did you hear the one about the guy on his death bed that said "I wish I would have wokred more and rode my bike less". Said NO ONE EVER. -Jeff Scott
