FOR SALE: Trek 1000 Road - 52cm Ladies sized

The bike is too short for me, but a shorter woman could get an awesome deal!

Photo from Trek site :: Actual bike is at Wood N Wave in Grand Rivers, KY, north of Land Between The Lakes

This bike is an awesome road bike for a woman!!
I am selling this bike because it is the wrong fit for me and I'm considering a cross or hybrid bike. I bought it new in August '06 and (unfortunately) received the wrong bike for my 5'8" height. It has 1050 miles on the computer (computer included).

I've enjoyed it! Other than the back pain the improper fit has caused :-(

    bike has computer

Just thought this would be worth mentioning again....

I'm more than happy to answer questions about the bike, since I'm the one who has put the mileage on it. Steve at Wood N Wave is the contact for seeing the bike during regular business hours and purchasing it.

    Thanks!

What is the proper height for a person for that particular bike in a 52cm frame?

I am 5'8" and I thought 52cm was a good fit for someone my height.

I'm 5'8" but have a longer than average inseam. I had my Trek 1000 fit checked by Wood N Wave, which is NOT where I purchased the road bike. Steve Wilson at Wood N Wave recommended a larger bike to ease my back pain, which popped up even on 20 mile rides. He fit me with my mountain bike, which I've had no posture problems with at all.

I was speaking with a girlfriend recently. She's 5'6", average build, and rides the size of this bike... 52cm... in a Trek.
