Read Across America Book Delivery via Bicycle!

PLEASE FILL OUT THE VOLUTNEER FORM BELOW

The first 30 volunteer riders will receive a Ride for Reading t-shirt (while sizes and supplies last)!

Our next book delivery via bicycle is going to Bailey Middle School in East Nashville on Wednesday, March 2nd (Dr. Seuss’s Birthday)! We will be leaving from the Two Rivers Greenway parking lot (this not Two Rivers skate park) at 1:30pm. You can get to the parking lot from two ways. You can either take the Two Rivers Parkway exit off of Briley Parkway, and then take a left BEHIND McGavock High School. You will see a sign on your left before the road that says "Two Rivers Park". The parking lot will be past the Two Rivers Golf Course entrance on your left. . You can also take McGavock Pike past McGavock High School. You will need to take a left at the "Two Rivers Park" road before you get to Two Rivers Middle School. If you pass the school you have gone too far.

This delivery is going to be very unique, because we are teaming up with some local trials mountain bike riders! They are going to set up their obstacles in the gym and perform a demo for the students!

Remember, please bring a bike trailer or backpack to carry the books in. Also, please be prompt. It takes a few minutes to sign the waiver, load the books, and man the troops! Thank you again for being a part of a Ride for Reading book delivery!

Lastly, this route has many rolling hills so we will be taking our time. We would like if all riders would stay together, this is a no drop ride/delivery. :0)

    You are making a difference!

Signed up as well this will also be my first delivery. Have been dying to do the others but it has never worked out schedule wise. This time I'm there.

I will be bringing my cross/commuter bike do we have a lot of books to deliver? I can attach my Burly trailer that I pull my son with or just grab a backpack which would be preferred? I don't mind either way.

This will be my easy/keep the legs loose ride before the final snake creek that weekend

The delivery route link does not work for me, but it might be because I do not do Facebook.

Remember....the first 30 riders get a RfR t-shirt...while supplies and sizes last....

Just a reminder about our next delivery to Bailey Middle School in East Nashville tomorrow Wednesday, March 2nd at 1:00 (leaving at 1:15 prompt) for Dr. Seuss's birthday. We will be leaving from the Two Rivers Greenway parking lot (this not Two Rivers skate park.) You can get to the parking lot two ways. You can either take the Two Rivers Parkway exit off of Briley Parkway, then take a left BEHIND McGavock High School. You will see a sign on your left before the road that says "Two Rivers Park". The parking lot will be past the football field on your left. You can also take McGavock Pike past McGavock High School and take a left at the "Two Rivers Park" road before you get to Two Rivers Middle School.

As some of you are aware, we received a donation of a 2011 Trek Transport from Trek Bicycles. Because the bike is so large, I am going to have to ride it to the delivery. I am looking for a little help...I need someone to meet me at my house by 11:30 to pick up the books, shirts, and bike trailers for the delivery. If you can help please respond to this email ASAP. You will probably need a truck or SUV in order to haul all of the books.

Remember, please bring a bike trailer or backpack to carry the books in. Also, please be prompt. It takes a few minutes to sign the waiver, load the books, and man the troops! Thank you again for being a part of a Ride for Reading book delivery!

    You are making a difference!
