    DSG - 2012?!?!

Has anyone heard if DSG will be on for 2012? My couch has a developed permanent imprint of my backside so, I am looking for an insane challenge to take on.

I don't think there will be a DSG anymore. Everything that I have heard tells me that its cancelled permanently. There is always Snake Creek Gap or ORAMM. Most people would think doing those is crazy.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion yet that DSG is dead and buried, but bigred is right about no shortage of challenges for your couch-imprinted backside. You might start with the canal race this weekend or the Lock 4 6-hr. Or you could race cyclocross and test your anaerobic pain threshold.

Yeah, umm... That may be a little ambitious right now. I can barely survive a couple of laps on a moderately challenging three mile trail. But, thanks for the suggestions. I have already started checking them out.

I definitely hope DSG isn't done for. The event is nothing short of amazing. Many good memories from past years.

I'd say Snake Creek would be the best bet for now. They are in Jan/Feb/March so you've got some time to train up...your legs and/or your liver.

We still have 20 days for DSG 2012 to go down. I'm hopeful for this year!

Seriously though I would love to know the answer to that also.

The DSG event in Fayetteville (DSG as we know it) is not going to happen in 2013. We all got too busy to put on a race, so we're on the sidelines, waiting for an inspiration. Until then, as you prep your liver for other natural disasters....

Watch the RIDE ALERTS on twitter @TNMtnBike and become a fan of TNMB on Facebook... you'll be able to come join us for a sunday morning ride like this morning. My legs are recovered - oh, about an hour ago...
