Uzzi even one snide comment and ...... Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon them.

Bro, that is so Old Testament. Though I'm not sure if it supposed to be funny or what, or scare me? I was going to make a joke about tires, but now you have me scared that the Lord will strike me down! Seriously, I would like to check this out. Sounds fun.

Is that black tape around the tree there to hold it up?

Meant to be funny, it's a line from the movie Pulp Fiction. If you've never been to TTC it is worth a trip. You could even win some tires.....if you were fast enough.

If you've never been to a Grassroots type DH race or TTC then you wouldn't understand the vibe vs a XC race. With the forecast I estimate 30 racers.TTC has a huge pavilion and grilling and beer drinking will go late in the night. There is no eating a light pasta meal and water in preparation for the race.

Sounds much like the bike trials events I go to. I have been to the ttc it's a really fun place. 30 riders sounds like a good turn out to me. How long is the downhill?

Adam - they would look at you and wonder why you insist on pedaling back to the top.

You better stick to gravity. I don't think you have the heart or lungs to do much else. If I'm wrong prove it.

Moto - Both Adam and PTJ have pretty solid bike handling skills. I'm sensing a very boring and played out discussion coming on who is more hard core - gravity or XC riders.

Pffsst why don't you start a new thread and see if we can get banned again

I can say it took all the skills I had just to keep from crashing on my race run. I don't ride flat pedals like most DHers do, so I'm clipped in and I try to stay clipped in but by the time the race started it was sloppy/muddy/wet/slick and I was dabbing and peg legging all over the place.

Only 21 raced and there was only two categorys - 13 Open and 8 Intermediate. I'm not fast but in my mind I have the most fun.

I think your feelings on the issue may be stronger, so I think you should start it. Make the thread title - "XC Riders Are Sissies Who Shave Their Legs and Think People Care About Their Diets"

Nah the stuffy mods would probably just lock it and issue a warning.Too much censorship on this forum.Non conforming opinions are considered negative and flagged or reported.

If you podiumed you are faster than a lot of folks. Good riding and congratulations. I just wondered how many people do this. I wouldn't have the bike or the ##lls for it, even if I did have the bike.

    Re: TTC Race

I would love to do some dh I think I would enjoy it. If it were closer I would. The closest I get are my annual trips to Wa and renting a big boy bike for a few days.

Nice try jim but you're not on the list, I would not be posting about getting banned or moderation if someone was not so trigger happy.

Geez man! Get over it ! My bets are it was Chris (BikeBrainManiac) He sent us both a PM telling us to behave. When I put this in my Google transter, it came out "Stop making so many people read this forumn again!" And on top of that, he banned me and would consider him a friend! So he must really dislike you! Can we get beyond two well repeated and established facts about SuperMoto?

    1. SuperMoto got banned and he is still upset about it. And he wants a name!

    2. SuperMoto doesn't like when other people build trails and ask him not to ride them when they are muddy.

Of course given the fact he rides DH means he probably doesn't ride many local Nashville trails, so not sure how much it would really impact those in the greater Nashville area.

No Tim, it wasn't me, I just banned you, but it was only 24 hours. I honestly didn't think you would even notice. I figured you would log on in a day or so and wonder why I made such a strange reply to your post.

"Mountain biking is about adventure and the rediscovery of your childhood freedom. It removes you from the daily grind and puts you in an environment with endless possibilities - wildlife, epic views, a personal epiphany about what really matters, and tasting your endorphins after a long, hard climb. The reward is looking back at obstacles, that are now behind you, and feeling like anything's possible." - Gary Klein

That's funny! Actually I logged in the next day ..or tried to...and was like .."What the heck?" But I figured it out. So sounds like no mods are owning up to it...so who closed the thread? I was the only getting verbally abused in there, and I wasn't complaining.
