Hey Grey - welcome. The board here is kind of slow lately. We have a FB page for middle tn mtb also you might want to check out. Lots of nice trails nearby. We're riding up at Defeated Creek - Bear Wheels this Sunday afternoon. Doing a little trail work afterwards also.

Sorba middle TN has a good web site, as does Chattanooga, that has trail info.

…but on Voyage 34, he finally met himself coming down an up-staircase, and the encounter was crushing (Porcupine Tree).

Depending on your definition of "Epic" Nashville may fall short. But we certainly don't have any shortage of great places to ride. Most of our trails are built on smaller plots of land (100 or so acres) so we're mostly limited to 7-10 miles of trail in one place, except, for instance, Montgomery Bell. Otherwise, we have Lock 4, Hamilton Creek, Cane Ridge, Percy Warner, Shutes Branch, Chickasaw Trace, and Bell's Bend in the general area. Clarksville also has Rotary Park, which is getting to be worth a second look, because a lot of digging has been going on up there. There are also two municipal developments going on at the moment, Clarksville's North Ford Street Mountain Bike Trail Park (yes, they named it all of that) which, although still under construction has a 3 mile loop available (cardio wise, it's probably worth 5 miles anywhere else) and then Portland has a trail in planning phase that will likely include the first public pump track in the area, unless the boys at Rotary beat them to it.
