Returning to the hobby!

I used to mountain bike a lot when I was younger. Only 35 now and want to get back into it. I have a Trek FX 7.2 road bike I'm wanting to sell and buy a mountain bike. I know what I want, just can't afford both right now. Perfect world I could buy the mountain bike outright and have both! Just found this site and will continue to monitor and hopefully meet some you guys and gals on the trails soon!

Never too old to get back into it. You might catch more action on a couple of facebook pages than here these days. Nashville mountain bike, middle tennessee mountain bike.

Regarding the bikes. I'd hang onto the road bike, find a way on a used MTB to start out with, maybe even on the classifieds on here. The thing is, weather doesn't permit trail riding at times. The road bike will come in handy then.

Thanks for or the advice! I'm still working on keeping both. Maybe by fall I'll have a mtb. Be cooler then anyhow.
