    Hope Park

Anyone ever ride this trail? I just came across a mention on the Sorba Web sight and hadn't heard one peep about this trail.

Yes, I ride there. It is where we attend church. The trail has some fun sections and flows nicely. It is fairly new and more trail is in the works. Tim, Brett and crew have done a great job. The only con to the trail is that it is short. I think the main trail is only 3 miles, but a new loop just opened up which may add 1-2 more miles. If you live close by, I highly recommend checking it out. It needs more riders ..... Post up if you plan to ride there, I will try to meet you out there.
    blue skies,

    Is this near Nashville?

    Hi,

Could someone tell me a little about this Hope Park Trail? Is it near Nashville and how do you get to it? Can anyone ride there?
    Thanks

When in doubt, always search for trail information on the SE Trail Guide, located on the SORBA-Chattanooga website.

    Hey Jeffrey,

I think the SE Trail Guide is fantastic.
I remember when the Hope Trail was first posted on the board & remember it being stated that it is was only 3 mi. or so as Bikeswimmer has stated.
The trail guide lists this trail at 9 mi. is that a typo?
Somebody thinking they can get in a longer ride and only getting 3 instead of 9 is all I saying.
I have never been to this trail so, maybe they added more.
Just thought I would bring it to your attention.

Sweet!!! More trail has been opened up. It looks like there is about 9 miles of trail now. I cannot wait to ride the new sections. The trail is open for anyone to ride.

Here is a link to the church's website. Scroll to the bottom of this page for a map of the trails.

Here are directions to BCC (Hopepark) It is located in Bellevue and really close to Nashville.

    Hope that helps.

I may try to ride the trail this weekend if anyone is interested.
    blue skies,

    Never mind Jeffrey.
It seems the SE Travel Guide is up to date & I am not.
9 miles, I've got to check out this trail.
Like I said before the Guide rocks.

    It's a fun trail!

What I like best about it is the elevation change (probably twice that of any of the greater Nashville trails) and how the blue section seems to flow downhill much longer than any trail in Nashville as well!!

It removes you from the daily grind and puts you in an environment with endless possibilities - wildlife, epic views, a personal epiphany about what really matters, and tasting your endorphins after a long, hard climb. The reward is looking back at obstacles, that are now behind you, and feeling like anything's possible." - Gary Klein

I have ridden this trail a couple of times. I haven't ridden (is that a word?) it since the new section has opened up. I need to check it out.

    BCC or Hope Park Trail

We rode this trail last Saturday. It is a very fun trail with some fast downhill section. As you can see from the map it is around 3.21 miles if you ride the blue/red trail. I am not sure where the 9 miles of trail is? We rode the blue/red trail twice for 6+ miles and was a good time. It is in Bellvue, go west on Hwy 70 toward Pegram and Bellevue Community Church is on left. Park at back of parking lot and enter trail on hill behing picnic shelter.

I rode two laps out there this afternoon. Once I did the combo and then just the blue trail. I got 6.1 miles for that. It is a fun trail and close to town. I did not see any new sections. It felt good to be able to ride again in the woods. Do they allow night riding? If so this would be a good night ride for about 90 minutes without getting bored. I moved some downed limbs from the storm but there was more debris.

    Have a good weekend...Robert
