I'm so Glad to here you going to race. I thought you had to work. You beat me so bad at SCG I've some pay back to give. The only problem with that is I don't think I can beat you at Chickasaw or anywhere else. But I promise to put up a good fight. I don't go down easy. I'll be riding dirty,rolling..... C ya Sunday you young punk!

I'll be there, but training hit a few snags, so I won't be in top form.

WX looks great. Nearly 70! It snowed on us there in 2003 or 4 or something like that.

I'm thinking of coming down to race... I'll be spanking my own butt though and probably won't be very competitive with others. We'll see.

not positive yet, but seeing as my Ventana is still without a rear tire and hasn't been ridden in 2008 yet, I'll probably ride the SS.

I don't have a bike with shifters. Sign up another sick pup!

I'm just hoping to finish without too much trouble.:aikido:

HAY SOMEBODY SLOW--please sign up for SS class!!! I went back through the results from years past. I finished dead last in 2005. I was hurting too. 9.17 official average speed.

SO now I'm all signed up and just prepped the bike--removed the bell and changed the gear!

As MUCH as I'd like to run a ridiculous gear, I'm just not trained up enough to push it. So my knobby knees will be a blur down there on the flats.

And hear me now and believe me later--there'll be one or two of these at the truck. Everybody is invited...Red Dodge Diesel with "W1ADE" emergency tag, old gray bike, and my wheezing self in 53x11Coffee gear. Should be parked down on the creek.

I will be there as a sweeper for the whole Sport class. Anyone have a problem I will take extra tubes and water to supply the field.....

I am correct in that this is a requirement for someone trying their first sport race right?......

CT this weekend will be my 1st time in sport, 1st MTB race ever, and following the first time I've ever run 15k (Sat. at CT). FullSquishy, I'm pretty sure I'll be the one brining up the rear .

    Good luck Garret!

I'll probably see you out there, but I may not recognize you. If you see Yazoo guys and beer, you'll probably find me close.

Sport, 40 - 49, riding for Team Biker's Choice this year.

Our uniforms aren't in yet .

Chickasaw is always a blast to race! We have to watch that initial downhill off of the road!

I rode up that once. Four of us tried...

I tried that yesterday, sans granny gear, and smashed my happy bits on the stem when the rear wheel broke loose and spun. Perhaps i'll not try that again.

Adam, I did a happy bits smash today, too....different part of the trail. Edborogers got to see me lay down and cry on the bike for that one, then avoid me like a speedbump when I clipped a tree with my handlebar later (WTF?).

I'll be doing early registration from 1-3ish and riding s-l-o-w-l-y sometime before that.

Sport, suckas! Maybe I'll race SS next year...but doesn't that mean I'd have to race the stinky boys?

    Good luck everybody!

He picks me up to go riding, loads my bike for me and even opens the door. Who wouldn't have a crush on a guy like that? Kelly is an anomaly. He rides one speed even on the hills. He does not slow down, just keeps going the same speed, uphill or downhill.

And he's got those pretty blue eyes...

    Children's Books

I know that several people have asked about donating children's books to Ride for Reading. If any of you have children's book and want to get rid of them please feel free to bring them to Chickasaw. I will be happy to take them off of your hands.

Headed OOT, after work, to ride where it is a lot drier. Everyone have a good race and I hope the rain holds off and the trail is perfect.

I am also going to cut out of this race as it is gonna be "hella" muddy. I can only imagine after all this rain what the trail will look like ...

Gonna have to do house work instead.......

to all who race out there! Be safe!! I can't imagine going down that first steep in the mud. That hill freaked me out when it was dry and dusty.
