    Desktop Backgrounds

I ran across three great pictures that I thought would make awesome desktop backgrounds for my computer.

I am presently using this one. X-ray of a group of raised hands. Despite the med sized pic, it stretches real well for the full screen affect.

Just switched from this one, which I had centered with a black background. "Boom stick" from the movie Evil Dead.

I will save this one for Halloween.

Here is my current desktop background pic. Pretty boring, but every time I find something new, I end up going back to this after a couple weeks!! This is a 1024x768 version of it. If you'd like any other version up to 3360x1050 let me know!!

Love the Bat pic - Why do people insist on associating bats with Halloween? My daughter and son both have several stuffed bats - my daughter some time sleeps with hers. Bats are lovely creatures.

The little Weather Channel desktop applet that you can install has a link to a gazillion weather pics. I snag a lightning pic every month or so for my background.

From our trip to Cambodia last year. Sky was horrible so I had to cheat and photoshop in a sky from another photo.

I remember that view real well. That is the view of the mountain as the airplane gains height from the airport. Last time I saw it the sun was rising and all the cloudes had a great orange/red cast. By the time I got my camera out to snap a comple of shots the plane had turned and I lost the view of the mountain.

I also took a roll of shots while climbing to the summit of Mt. Rainer. I used Fuji film and Walmart developed the negatives incorrectly (used Kodak processing) and everything turned out with a bluish/green tint. Because they screwed up the negatives it wasn't as simple as having them redo the prints. Talk about being a little upset. When the screw up your memories is they will give you a new roll of film. Oh boy!

Now I shoot everything with a digital camera. Much lighter and I can blow through about 300 shots at high resolution before draining my battery and/or filling my memory card.

I like the sense of peace and calmness that this picture gives me, I think it makes a great background:

Here is a sunset I snapped at Wailea Beach in Maui this past Friday. Sorry about the watermark but I'm going to print and frame a large size of this. I've been burned before so now I put watermarks on the photos I post online.

Be happy you haven't cracked 3 helemts so far like I have. My head hurts thinking about the tree, that boulder, and that stupid little stump that sent me flying over the bars.

It's not me, it is those small stumps right out of a turn that you don't see until you are right on top of them. They do all sorts of scary things to you.

And I do carry a cell phone when I go out riding, but I don't like being annoyed by people when I ride, so it is turned off.
