    DSG Pre-Ride?

Will it be open this Saturday? If so, how early can we get in?

    Thanks,
    Darren

Sorba is hosting a weekend workday this weekend down at DSG. We will start working on the trails at 9am on Saturday. Followed by some pre-riding of the trail. We will be camping that night and finishing up on Sunday. Come on down and help us and ride.

Yes, you should be able to ride provided the weather doesn't make it a mess down there.

Does anyone know the trail condition now? Are there a lot of trees down or muddy from all that wind and rain earlier in the week.

    Thanks,

Most of us live pretty far away from the trail and don't ride it except for workdays and the race. So, don't really know the conditions until we get there.

That said, you might try to send a PM to "TooChickens" on the board here. That is Clay, and it is his property. He is not on the board that much but may be able to get a PM and respond before you head out. Worth a try anyway.

trail might be a little slick in a few places but should be in good condition. I don't think there will be much if anything on the trail. We got a lot of rain last week (I live in Fayetteville) but not much of the high winds.

Clay is out on the trail as I type making sure everything is marked for tomorrow.

Things should be good for tomorrow.

I would say around 8am. Sunday is open as well but weather might not cooperate.

If someone says you are there to early just tell them that Kelly Benward said it was okay.

    Nice meeting everyone

Just wanted to express how great is was to meet everyone at the DSG pre-ride and work day yesterday. You guys and gals are a solid hard working (and riding) group, no matter how strange some things seemed (Team "Dutch Rudder"). Hats off to the pump track team. How sore are you guys today? I know I got some contacts from a few of you, but the rest feel free to PM me with your info.
    Sincerely,
    Rolland Ryan

Uh... so what's so strange about Team Dutch Rudder?

Sometimes ya have to give a brother a helping hand... there are rules involved though.

Yeah the pump track crew turned it up yesterday and it looks really good. It will be fun to ride for sure. It was cool working with some of the area "pump track experts". Tryon and Jim were still working on it when I had to leave so I can't wait to see what it turned out like. It was riding pretty good when I left at 2:30pm.

We got everything finished up on the pump track, and packed in quite a bit better. It is riding well at this point and just needs some break in time. The rain today will help it set up for sure. We had some dirt left over, so we ended up putting in three table top dirt jumps as well as a starting ramp. Should add a little more excitement and let people try out some new and interesting stuff! Thanks Aaron, and everybody else for all your help!!!

Thanks for the work on it. It should be lots of fun once I learn how to ride it and I could see the jumps being painful after a few beers.

Thanks to All who made it out

Thanks to everyone who made it out to help with the workday. (Yes even Mr. only here to ride Code Red)

Huge props to pump track guru PTJ for giving such a huge amount of time and effort in to create another masterful fun track.

DSG is on track to be even greater than last year. Hope to see you out there May 9th.

No chairs were harmed (or 'misplaced') during the making of this workday.

We are all really excited about the event and look forward to seeing and meeting more of you all the 8th and 9th...Grant nice to meet you and chat a bit as Ali and I where leaving the barn(which is AWESOME)....kudos to Clay and all @ DSG's.

    Hey now....

I did clear a few fallen trees and limbs. Put me down for a hour. I wish I had the whole day it would have been fun to hang with you guys and gals. Thanks for all your hard work.
