Trail was great today, and conditions good; looks bad for the weekend though.

Trail was in great shape yesterday. Very Fast. Whats up with the "Unexploded ordinance warning" signs? There is a picture attached to my Strava activity if you havent seen the sign. https://www.strava.com/activities/577373565
And back to trail conditions, pretty sure it got some rain today.

If you look at the history, that ground was used for army training and there may be unexploded grenades or other explosives.

Mountain Biking is 80% mental, 40% physical, and 20% skills... and that may add up to more than 100%, but I don't know.. I hit my head on a tree this weekend.

Ahh, that makes more sense. I thought it was an Air Force base and was just confusing myself on how ordinance just got misplaced. I guess Army training makes more sense.

Rain never hurts this trail. Might have some water flowing down the Jeep road or at the stream crossings. Per the http://water.weather.gov/precip/ less than 1/2 inch. Nothing will be flowing, and it will be better than the day before.

Steve has it right; We had a little rain and wind last evening; I think .5 at the house. Rode most of AEDC today and cleared some small windfall; trail is at most, damp. In spots. Had to clear a tree Lakeside yesterday; We have guy's who have done some really good work out there the past month. May need a little water flowing; been a dry month down here.

    Trail Conditioins at AEDC

The trail is in great shape except for a bad overhang near the end; CW. I have put caution tape four places; do not ride this section; someone came along and rode thru the tape a day ago; I have replaced it; please understand this is for safety; sure you can ride thru the tape or around and get by; but this snag will come down soon and you do not want to be under it, not does anyone else. Wait until we remove it and the tape.

The tree has been moved off the trail and is no longer overhanging; tape removed; trail is clear and in great shape,; there is another overhang about midway on the trail, but it seems stable. We will keep an eye on it.

    Hey, Denny! Been a while!

Any idea of conditions at FSF? I'd love to get to go around there before too long.

Gary, FSF is not being maintained and I would think there are trees down on the trail.

I rode AEDC for the first time today and the trail is in great condition. It doesn't seem like it gets ridden very often but other than that its ready to ride.

Thanks for the comment Blackburn; you hit an unusually good day. But trail conditions in the spring are fickle. Affects all trails. Yesterday the trail was a mess. Back too pretty good now, but a tree top on the North side about two and a half mile in is a problem. Be careful going under. Cleared two other big snags but this one is will take some care to clear.
