Trail conditions remain excellent at AEDC; weather also cooperated, so a good start to the new year.

Could not believe seeing tire tracks in the light snow ahead of me today; Must have been Sarge; surely not the Maintainer. And I did not ride; just a little trail prep. Want to do a few fixes Wednesday, if anyone wants to help let me know.

Trail is open, but thawing; maybe a little slippery in spots for a few days; but the rain tonight should speed the thaw and help get things back to normal for the weekend.

Trail was surprisingly good today; only soft spot was at the top of the Jeep trail; dropped a couple hundred pounds of gravel on that corner; probably needs a little more. Several snags down plus some small stuff; Spoke was out and I think between us we cleared everything that was there this morning. Good to go.

Trail was even better today; just a little wet with water on a few spots; none flowing and what is there will likely be gone quickly; trail is clean, firm everywhere, and no mud; even the soft section at the top of the Jeep Road firmed up; anyone riding it should follow the gravel and help establish a narrow line in that corner.

The soft conditions we have had off and on for the past month, and the guys riding who stay on the proper line, have been a big help keeping the trail in good shape; I think it was as good today as I have ever seen it; and the weather was not bad. The only way a trail will get ridden in, and stay that way, is to have riders who are not afraid to ride when it is soft. Riding when frozen or on summer hard pan will not ride a trail in.

Trail was good today; little hard even mid-afternoon as no thaw was noticeable; hopefully tomorrow it will soften a little and we will get more riders; only three of us today in good riding weather.

No dust today; trail is soft in a number of spots; no real muddy areas; your bike will come in clean but it will be a slow ride. Should dry well today in anticipation of some rain tomorrow and another freeze mid-week.

Rode entire trail. Nope, the dust is gone. The horses were a little rough on the trail in certain areas but overall not to bad. And yes it is a slow go, careful in the corners.

Today the trail was good; a little rutting in the first quarter mile left over from some thaw riding a week or so back; ruts are soft but not sticky; should smooth out with more riding and better conditions ( maybe not in the current forecast). Some old small pine overhangs near North Shore Road, CW, have lowered and you have to walk under; should be able to clear them in the morning; maybe the Maintainer will beat me to it.

Trail continues to improve; the little rutting is quickly smoothing; overhangs gone and the trail is clear; needs some more riding; not many out on a great weekend in February.

For The exit off I-24 is 117, from the top of the ramp at AEDC Rd. it's exactly 7 mi. to UTSI RD. take a left there, Like Wade said go to the stop sign (2.2 mi.), take a left there (North Shore, somebody turn the sign around, so don't get confused by that).
Go down 0.4 mi. & take a left into the Saddle Club, trail head is right down the gravel rd.

Found these directions posted on an earlier post, should get you there.

The Saddle Club sign has been removed, you turn on the first gravel road on the left after the left turn onto Northshore, it is across from the Recreation Area.

If you go to the Trails Map on this page; just roll it up step by step centered on Manchester, you should get all you need; including the best AEDC Trail Map; look at Sat View. Do not click on AEDC Map or it will throw you. Saw YoBryan out there a month back and maybe he could give a little better navigation help.

Short pants day for a change; trail is really good; few spots holding water should get some gravel soon.

Couple of those spots got gravel today, but most everything is dry already; should help later on in the spring when the rains get heavier. Quite a few down from the Boro and Metro areas yesterday; guess it was a holiday for some; Trail continues to improve; almost too good right now; no challenges to speed.

Trail has a few spots holding water ; but 95% dry; we drained a few places and laid a little gravel this morning; if your not afraid of a little splash back on the Jeep Road, go for it; great day to ride. The water holding spots are solid underneath; keep to the middle of the trail.

Good to see the Capps down today; beautiful day to ride, so most took to the road; trail had dried really well since yesterday so what water that was left was only an inch or so deep; well maybe a little more in some crossings; still some windfall on the trail but should be all clear now; for a while. It's day to day; must have talked Steve out of Lakeside as they bypassed it; but it was fine. Always appreciate guys like Steve and Charlie, and someone else out today before me, who cleared some blockage.

This trail is in great shape except for a handful of slooshy bits. You could go slow and not get splashed... YOU could... I didn't !!

Thanks to everyone that maintains this trail! It's a blast! Only wish I lived closer.

Very rideable! Yup some typical wet areas but that's part of the fun. Jeep trail was very smooth so that made for a good ride.

Pretty much the same today, but with dryer wet areas , if that makes sense; no sign of freeze/thaw problems.

Not indicative of any distance; just location markers which you see along the trail. The trail is overall about 14 miles. Trail was clean and quite dry today

Lost yesterday's post; AEDC is in excellent shape; we were fortunate to have missed the bad weather Monday; had just a little rain ; not enough to have any runoff. No ice and nothing down.

Left for Nashville about six am yesterday; lot of wind and rain going up; clear coming back; did not get to ride ; today AEDC was dry and clean; if someone was out there yesterday late and cleaned ; thank you. Trail is excellent today.

Trail is decent today; a little wet but firm, with a few puddles; we missed any heavy rain or wind; about an inch at the house overnight ; forecast for the next week or so is good.
