I have ridden everyday this week; some water as to be expected; otherwise clear; we had a little rain and some windfall as has everyone , but nothing bad or extraordinary. Trail should be excellent for the near term.

Had a thunderstorm thru about noon; needed the rain , but not the windfall; But trail is clear again. Maintainer and SgtJim have put up mile markers 1-14. measured from the Kiosk. I guess the trail is officially fourteen miles. Mile markers are both CW and CCW.

Another storm over the weekend; As of noon today all of the windfall has been cleared; trail surface is excellent with the rain we have had.

Was planning on make an AEDC trip tomorrow if the trail was rideable. I know it's still early in the day, but any chance the trail will be in riding shape come tomorrow?

    Thanks!

Trail will certainly be open to riding; we have not had enough rain this weekend to do anything but help. Never know about windfall until you get out, but it was clear this morning before the rain.

I rode a lap today and the trail was perfect, just the right amount of moisture and Bud has been busy doing trail maintenance with Sarge helping out, thanks to both of them.

Rode the first ~7 miles of the trail today. Apparently it had rained a good bit here just before I arrived. Trail was not soft at all but there was enough shallow standing water to make it a really fun ride. Lots and lots of pesky spider webs across the trail today. Had to peel them off of me when I got back to the car.

Denny (Maintainer) e-mailed me the new hunt dates for AEDC for the fall 2014 through winter of 2015.
Go to the 2nd post in this forum for the dates.

Thanks Denny for the info & to you & Bud for keeping the trail up for everybody!

Rode most of the trail today. At the ten mile mark, I turned around and headed back to the road due to the quickly diminishing sunlight. The trail was surprisingly void of standing water despite the rain over the weekend. There was, however, a great amount of limbs and trees down over the trail. I spent almost as much time clearing the trail as I did riding the trail. Between marker 14 & 15, there is a felled tree hanging over the trail, about 5 feet up. A chainsaw will be needed to clear that one.

Thursday, the Maintainer finished the fall trail cleanup with the Bob's Trail section. Maybe Wednesday as we rode Thursday to a perfect trail as far clean goes. No litter, no gravel. Weather over the hunt weekend dropped some windfall; too be expected and we appreciate the cleaning you did. Trail needs more like you. As far as the leaner; we keep an eye on it and when it lowers to a point of danger, in our estimation, we will clear it. It has been there for near two years and has lowered an inch. We certainly appreciate your post.

Upcoming three days will be the last of the closures until next deer season; you can ride on Turkey hunt days midmorning on. Trail is near perfect this week and should improve with more riders. Trail has a nice small cover of leaves and pine needles.

You might PM and/or email Maintainer.

Last report on FB's Nashville Mountain Bike, on Sunday, was "rideable". I've never been so can't appraise.

The trail is always rideable unless there is some serious freeze-thaw going on. Yesterday there were some wet and muddy spots and todays rain will increase that situation but it can still be ridden. The weekend spring turkey hunts start tomorrow and continue through May 8-10, check for all of the dates in the second post on this forum. When there is a turkey hunt the trail opens for riding at noon.

Had a chilly ride out here today. A few muddy spots and one large tree down that will probably need a chainsaw right past the five mile marker.

    Other than that great shape!

It was called to my attention, today, that there is an error in the turkey dates that are listed on the second post on this forum. There is a hunt tomorrow May 3rd and the trail opens for riding at noon. Next week end, May 8-10 is the last hunt until next fall..

I feel like all it did today was collect ticks and clear spider webs off the trail, with my face. Trail was in great shape, but there is a small tree across the trail just about 100 feet past marker 10 (going toward marker 11). Someone with better bunny hopping skills than me would not have had to stop and lift the bike over.

Trail is clean and fast; may need a little rain soon. Few spots need some side trimming; but nothing in the face except maybe spiders for first rider of the day.

Always the same here ;; dry, clean trail: nothing in your face: just chucking spiders this time of year, because whatever time I go out, I am the only one on the trail; well Woody and Tom cleaned some the other day.

I live near AEDC and can say it did rain a "lot" in the area. From my experience the trails will mostly be fine this time of year. There will be some areas with water in them, folks that ride there know where they are. The soil does drain really well so it'll be rideable however there is a hunt scheduled for the morning so after noon riding only.

those who do not ride it, do not clean it, have not been on it, please do not comment on it. trail is good but wet five inches of rain has not hurt it past the point of no return, in fact , the trail is good.

In a word, wet, Robert; I have recorded nearly fifteen inches of rain in less than three weeks, at the house; I rode last Wednesday and the Jeep Road crossing was a foot deep in the center and twenty feet wide; I would guess it would be worse today. But no mud; if you do not mind the water and some debris the trail is firm. But it will still take some time to drain.

Thanks for the update Bob. I rode there today and even though there was some water on or running down the trail, it was not even close to muddy. I saw 5 other riders out there. It was a slower go but it was fun. Some of those water crossings were deep. I moved a pretty good size tree that had fallen across the trail. Upper body weight work is paying off. There is a big tree down, not too far from where you cross back over the road, from the lake trail going clockwise. It will require a chain saw. I also got rid of a lot of debris. Thanks for your and Denny's work out there. Glad I finally made the drive.

Thanks for the location Robert; only took about ten minutes all told to clear it; nice when they fall close to the road; I rode the first seven CW today and cleared more debris; but still pretty wet in spots; with some dry days should be good by the New Year.

Thanks for clearing it. Sometimes after riding that long, I get foggy about downed tree locations. This one was pretty easy to remember, even for me.
