Please keep in mind that the Perimeter Loop (aka Sewanee) is on private land. Mountain bike traffic has been picking up there and we need to be sure to mind our Ps and Qs to not loose our access. They don't have to allow us to ride there.

I mention only because we were sought out by the head of the outdoor studies (aka manager of the trails) there and asked to make sure riders are yielding to hikers and runners, alerting them to the size of the group behind the lead riders when passing, no loud music, no riding on the hiking only trails, respecting the equestrians on the fire roads and parallel trails, etc...

    Thanks for your co-operation.

Thanks for the notice! We encountered numerous hikers, including a few scout troops, who kindly yielded to us. Did give the following number heads-up. Everyone seemed pleasant, in spite of our spread group of nine. Some of the scouts were making camp just out in the leaves. Good stuff!

Largest number of folks I've ever seen on/around the trails during the ride with Homer and the gang. I would say upwards of 50. Many of those were at their camp sites (around the Log Cabin), but still lots of activity. Respect for other trail users is definitely key.

Rode from KA point to Armfield bluff today. Still a lot of drainage with water in many of the low spots. It snowed 1-2" so it was hard to say what the trail was like underneath, but it seemed to be in good shape. The stretch from Armfield to Elliot point is probably still soggy.

Rode this trail yesterday with several others from Murfreesboro. A little wet in some low places. Also several trees down that you must dismount for, otherwise it is good to go. Great fun.

Warning the bridge at cedar lake has washed downstream and the crossing is not rideable without it.IMG_1113.jpg

    Bridge returned to normal location.

The trial was in great shape today. I believe there were only 2 trees down on the trail and both of them were near Elliott point.

You know it. Not in a couple weeks, though. Trees are starting to build up again, but good, as always. Hit me up.

I can't imagine it being "good" when wet and icy. Yikes. Only ridden it once and it was wet. It made some of the rocky creek climb-outs a bit iffy. Would love to give it a go when dry.

Got some out there this morning, thanks to my esteemed tour guide Scott Ludwig. Weather was great and were the only ones out there. Beautiful rim overlooks and great conditions.

Got another tour by Ludwig. Rather than sunny and 50, it wound up cloudy and cold. Other than that, great ride and great trail selections. Need a group ride out there some time!

Pretty sweet on the west rim, with the two Scotts! Bone dry, 70, and breezy. There's some good stuff out there.

Remind me again where the trail head is? I raced there once back in college but that has been 20 years ago. Thanks DCD

Let's see…turn rt. on University, pass The Inn, turn right on Texas, pass the stadium on the left, keeping right, then veer left (seems like there is a little white building that you go left of), then you'll come to a parking lot, with shelter to the right. Sorry. That's the best I can do from memory and looking at Google map. I'll see if I can get my guide to give you better info.

Type in "Lake Cheston Pavilion" on your app. I guess that's the shelter. I don't have that kind of app...

Nice ride today with Scott Ludwig (guide extraordinare) and Jason. In spite of the water in the creeks, lots of fun and a good ride. Incredible vista to the west. Looking forward to an east rim ride at Franklin State Forest sometime soon.

Hey Scott; Get Gary down to ride AEDC sometime; you probably remember the place and Gary has never been there.
