Clay and I got in a ride yesterday morning. Trails are perfect except for the hills, they still suck!

I'm stoked! Not worried at all. If it rains it'll still be awesome! The only one who should be scared is Jeffy! He should worry where I'm gonna stick that can that he's bringing with him.

No more rain talk! Let the smack talk begin!

    nah, just see-in-the-dark.

yeah, two years ago, the rains came at daybreak and the trail was only nasty for a lap or two.

    this one will be good.

i'm loaded up. have 8 tire options. nearly. if i get it right, i might not die a slow death.

Sorry no rentals this year as the demand was jsut too low to justify in past years. Lights will only be required for any laps that start after 7 PM.

We are giving away several as prizes this year...

I bet somebody would let u borrow one. Not everybody on a 4 person team will get a night lap in, but I bet most have a light just in case.

The forecast that I have been reading says that the stoke level is steadily rising with a 100% chance of awesomeness overwhelming Fayetteville in the next 24 hours. Team Scared Shiftless on our way this afternoon. Woo!

Had a great time at DSG this year - I did get tired and walked back to my car to drop off some pictures that I bought and was so wiped out I just wanted to head out. Sorry for not saying goodbye!

    Thanks -

Scott Smith - For opening up his tents and giving away his super tasty and awesome beer.

Joey Kachinko- For your awesome generosity, good conversation and super grill skills. Who knew pineapple would taste so good grilled?

Jose - Thanks for being a super great duo partner, even if you had a mechanical. I was happy with how we did.

Matt and Team RFR - Thanks for letting me ride on the funnest team! Standing next to Matt at the beginning of any race is better than any comedy routine done by anyone.

Matt - Thanks for facilitating the kids race. Both my girls had a great time.

Grant and Clay - Thanks for having such a great back-up plan for the rain! You guys executed it well

Great to see and visit with everyone. Hope to see you all at the Fat Tire Festival.

Great race - awesome weekend! Thanks to Grant and Clay, and all the sponsors. The re-route saved the day, IMO, and worked to perfection.

Special thanks to Scott Smith and D1ck Cheney!

It was a great time as usual.
Thanks to Clay, Grant & all who work so hard to put this on every year!

On another note I lost a black T shirt some where between Scott Smith's & my tent last night, I'd like to get it back, it said " Last 8 standing" on it... I worked hard to win it.

Edit: Never mind... I found it.

Great venue, great racing and a great time had by all. The trail was great, just a little over my fitness level. Looking forward to next year, (and being 20 pounds lighter)!

BIG thanks go out to everyone who helped create and support this race. I love the collective VIBE of this race, so many cool people and a great test of riding to boot.

Tim: It was great racing DUO with you, way to knock out an extra lap when I was toast. My first mechanical at a race had to happen sometime.. but I was pleased how we did as well.

Colin(Hoopty): I owe a great thanks to you for loaning me your Mary SS for my other laps...That bike rides sweet and someone should really buy this bike (It's for SALE!). PM me as I have a really nice bottle of La Goudale with your name on it. I INSIST!

Mathew: Thanks for putting out the effort for RFR Racing team. The jersey/kits are smokin' !! Sorry to hear about your Niner ...keep us posted on the rehab

Clay/Grant: Thumbs up for another well run DSG. The reroute was done with great timing and execution. Can't wait for next year!!!

Mike (Big Poppy): Great hangin' with you and good job holding out for Last 8 Standing. I just couldn't hang on. I promise I didn't steal your shirt. Hopefully someone finds it.

Chris Holland: Good to see you again and great job on being the fire-tender......

Scott Smith/Joey/Clint: Thanks for throwing down 8 taps of Hamilton Creek Brews!! A laughing good time at your trailer post race!! You guys all really on track to bust out. Great Beer!!!

Lefty: You really bucked up and had a great race. It sucked that you had your mishap. I am glad you came back after getting stitched up and won a nice prize at the end.

Darryl: Appreciate you getting some great beer from Oskar Blues. My first try of Dale's and that is some great tasting stuff.

Again to all the sponsors and volunteers/supporters of this event...THANK YOU!!
